"Attack on Titan" Exhibition Reaches 25 Million Visitors + Limited Oiri-bukuro

Attack On Titan Exhibition at Ueno No Mori Museum, Tokyo has been confirmed to have received 25 million people after opening on November 28. To commemorate the 25-million people mark record, the museum will be giving “Oiri-bukuro” envelopes with a message from Hajime Isayama, original creator, starting January 19, Monday until stocks last.

“Oiri-bukuro” is a bonus pay given to employees in Japan on occasions of a full house, usually given inside small envelopes. The envelopes for the commemoration will contain a message from the creator instead of money.

The Ueno No Mori Museum – Tokyo Exhibition will be running until January 25. The exhibition will also be held at Oita Prefectural Museum from August 1 to 30 and at Osaka Grand Front from September 11 till October 18 after the Tokyo exhibition is over.

Yohji Yamamoto to Release Evangelion Collaboration Items

Yohji Yamamoto, founder of famous international Yohji Yamamoto brand, launched a new “Ground Y×EVANGELION” Evangelion anime franchise collaboration. The collaboration line will be released on January 23 at Ground Y in Shibuya Parco Part 1, Tokyo.

The Yamamoto x Evangelion collaboration will feature jackets, shirts, t-shirts, bottoms, sneakers, tote bags, pouches inspired by Evangelion’s EVA-01, EVA-00, EVA-02, Asuka Shikinami Langley, Rei Ayanami, Mari Illustrious Makinami, Kaworu Nagisa, Shinji Ikari and NERV mark.

“Asuka Print T-shirt” will be a web-only design item open for pre-orders from January 23 to February 28 at Yohji Yamamoto’s official online shop S’YTE WEB SITE.

Tokyo Ghoul √A New Episode + Studio Pierrot

Tokyo Ghoul has just got back from production with a new season Tokyo Ghoul √A with a new episode featuring a new Kaneki Ken after torture. The anime also has a new opening and ending theme that has a lot more calm feeling than the latter Unravel theme.

Tokyo Ghoul will also be an anime original and will not be fully in-line with the manga. As seen on the new episode of the anime, instead of beating Ayato, he ended up joining Aogiri Tree instead. Studio Pierrot might also be trying to edit out brutal and graphic scenes to lessen frequent black screens that happened in the first season of the anime. On the otherhand, we see obvious frame recycling in the new episode with the main character, Kaneki Ken's step scene.

Yo-Kai Watch Sets New Japanese Weeked Opening Record after Howl's Moving Castle

Yo-Kai Watch: Taniyo no Himitsuda-Nyan! (The Secret of the Invention) is a mega hit franchise original feature film that was launched on Japan last weekend on 408 screens. The time travel film, Yo-Kai Watch, garnered an outstanding 1,628,893,000 yen from 1,485,000 movie ticket sales within two days after its release, changing the 2000 Japanese film weekend opening record calculation method from movie revenue to box-office profits. Yo-Kai Watch was the highest grossing film in the history of Toho distribution. The record before was 1,480,000,000 yen gross by Howl’s Moving Castle anime film by Hayao Miyazaki launched on 2004. Toho is expecting the film to earn more than 6 billion yen after its run.

Other films in the record is Disney animation’s Big Hero 6 film in 3D animation as “Baymax” in Japan ranked 2^nd with 600 million yen gross on 464,000 audience, also second for a Disney film in Japan, ranking next best after Frozen’s (“Anna and the Snow Queen” in Japan) 763,389,450 yen profit earlier this year.

Bandai Namco's J-Stars Victory Vs.+ in Summer 2015 with Japanese voiceovers

J-Stars Victory Vs. is a game introduced by Bandai Namco. J-Stars Victory Vs. is a crossover fighting game from more than 30 Shonen Jump series characters. Bandai will be bringing J-Stars Victory Vs. in the west as J-Stars Victory Vs.+. Japanese voiceovers same with the Japanese release will be on the plus English version with English subtitles.

J-Stars Victory Vs.+ is a four-player set-up in two-vs-two battles where players can team-up various characters from different series, you can team up using Goku and Naruto or Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo and Luffy. The game also has a story mode with four different settings where players can go to Planet Namek from Dragon Ball universe, Alabasta from One Piece and Hidden Leaf Village from Naruto franchise. The Western plus release includes a one-vs-one set-up match battle.

Summer 2015 is the release date of J-Stars Victory Vs.+ on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, be sure to be ready by then!

"Rodea the Sky Soldier" Flying to Japan this Summer 2015

Last November, trailer for Rodea the Sky Soldier the game was released from Yuji Naka, creator of Sonic the Hedgehog and Prope to be originally released for Wii. Famitsu magazine revealed that the game will have its Japanese release this April 2, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

First print copies or pre-order customers of the Wii U release of the game will receive original the original version of Rodea the Sky Soldier which was in development but will not be released. The Japanese release will be published by Kadokawa Games.

"Sword Art Online II" GGO Kirito Real Action Heroes No.700 on sale Christmas Eve 2014

Medicom Toy announced last November about the release of premium figures from Sword Art Online II – Gun Gale Online Arc. A pair of 30-cm Real Action Heroes premium figures – GGO Kirito and Sinon will be available on sale early August 2015 and GGO Kirito companion, on December 24^th earlier than the scheduled September release. The GGO premium figure will have cloth outfit with 3 interchangeable facial expression, Kirito’s photon sword (lightsaber as others might call it) with optional light/photon blade, pistol and pairs of extra hand with articulation on sale for 24,300 yen.
